At Dunckel Veterinary Hospital, our philosophy is simple – our veterinary team is passionate about providing the highest quality pet care possible. We have an on-site laboratory for immediate lab work analysis as well as an on-site pharmacy. We believe prevention is truly the best treatment, which is why we are proud to offer comprehensive wellness care services. From new puppy and kitten care exams to specified care for adult and senior pets, we are fully experienced with a variety of companion animals. Our team recommends annual wellness exams for all pets. During a wellness exam, our veterinarian will screen for parasites, complete diagnostic blood work and perform a full physical. Exams are an important way for our veterinarians to get a “snapshot” of your pet’s well-being. The earlier we can detect symptoms of illness, such as a thyroid imbalance or cancer, the more we can do to treat this condition before it compromises your pet’s health.

For dogs and cats, pet dental care is an important part of routine wellness. We recommend annual cleanings to reduce the buildup of plaque and tartar – left unchecked, this build up can lead to bacterial infections. We offer pet vaccinations, including rabies. Many of these pet vaccinations require annual boosters to be effective, and our staff works diligently to ensure all of our animal clients are up to date on their pet vaccinations. As part of our puppy and kitten care services, we also provide the full puppy and kitten shot series.

Our team of veterinarians have extensive experience with major and minor surgical procedures. Our pet surgery services include spay/neuter operations, tumor removal, dental extractions and orthopedic operations. Dunckel Veterinary Hospital is conveniently located to serve Davison, Burton, Goodrich, Grand Blanc and Lapeer. In addition to veterinary care, our fully stocked retail center sells prescription pet foods and pet care products. We also provide competitively priced heartworm, flea and tick treatments.
